The CHRONO 900 is the company's flagship in the model range of high-speed seeders. High-speed operation (10 mph and above), the innovative CHRONO seed element, which works effectively regardless of the type of soil: from normal to minimal tillage and direct sowing, in a very wide range of conditions and always guarantees the best accuracy of seed placement. A large hopper for seeds (100 Bu) provides high autonomy of operation.

CHRONO planting unit is characterised by the most advanced and innovative solutions found on the new generation precision planters. The independent pneumatic system with lobe compressor, allows the transport of the seed from the distributor to the planting furrow, guaranteeing high forward speeds and varying the air flow according to the different types of seeds, from the smallest such as sorghum to the most irregular like sunflower.

The HEAVY DUTY setting of the seeding unit is amplified by the robust double-parallelogram connection system with AIR SPRING, which allows the ground pressure of the unit to be varied by up to 650 lbs, operated directly from the tractor cab. This allows direct planting even on heavy, very compressed soil.

The seeding elements are located on a flexible frame with a maximum angle of inclination over the entire width of 10°. Thus, the seeder can copy the terrain of the field and maintain the accuracy of seeding over the entire working width. The CHRONO 900 is one of the largest seeders in the MASCHIO GASPARDO range, with a working width of more than 39 feet. But at the same time, the transport width is only 11.5 feet, which allows you to transport the seeder on public roads.

The ISOTRONIC electrical transmission with ISOBUS GENIUS MASTER communication protocol allows all Precision Farming functions to be used for seed deposition, microgranular product and fertilizer distribution.

CHRONO distributor has a tilt of 15° in order to optimise the fall of the seed into the perfectly straight tube. By eliminating any contact between seed and tube, maximum precision is guaranteed. The body made of aluminium combines high strength and lightness.

The photocells on the metering unit body outlet check that the seed actually enters the delivery tube turning on a LED placed on the side of the planting unit. Data regarding the amount of seeds per hectare, distance and planting precision are instantly collected. The audible seed monitoring alarm promptly warns the operator if no seed is detected or the hopper is empty.

CHRONO is fitted with 12 V Brushless electric motors. These brushless motors allow easy and immediate management of the rows via ISOBUS communication protocol. Each single engine is electronically managed via Virtual Terminal, allowing the exclusion of a row at any time.

CHRONO uses an independent pneumatic seed transport system. Through a lobe compressor, an air flow is generated which, entering the delivery tube, carries the seed to the planting furrow. This system has multiple advantages:

• Maximum precision of deposition distances;

• Deposition of large and small seeds.
