GIRAFFA XXL is the most rugged and high performance model in the side-mounted mulcher range. Its solidity and impressive size belie the ease and precision with which it gets the job done, from simple grass mowing to the more demanding shredding of brush measuring 3.1-3.9 inch in diameter. Suitable for tough jobs, equally happy working in olive groves, hazel groves and orchards as it is mowing along headlands, ditches or hedgerows, it is available in working widths ranging from 6.9 to 8.5 in, paired with tractors with horsepower in the 120 to 200 range.

GIRAFFA XXL's parallelogram frame arm with forged joint gives it a wide range of movement, both horizontally - to offer the greatest number of possible operating combinations, such as work in conjunction with front-mounted equipment - and vertically thanks to inclines ranging from -65° e +90°. The gearbox is mounted externally to maximize offset or reach during ditch work.

The adjustable triple-spring safety system on the tractor hitch, the internal conveyor and, above all, the standard-issue double-skinned body make it a truly heavy-duty piece of equipment for handling the toughest jobs and most demanding workloads.

The combined action of the dual toothed counter blade and various tools (hammer flails and blades) is tasked with shredding, effortlessly handling brush up to 6 cm in diameter, ensuring a consistently high speed with very little vibration.

GIRAFFA XXL can be fitted with a double skin protection. The hood liner is always recommended when dealing with hard debris or stones.

The rear roller, whose purpose is to compact the resulting shredded residue, is a self-cleaning model thanks to its location near the rotor, and can be set to two different positions. This adjustment ensures unbeatable stability in any conditions.

The head's floating system allows it to follow the contours of the surfaces being worked on, preventing any damage to the structure.

The rotors on MASCHIO mulchers are balanced electronically in order to provide the hammer flails with a high speed of rotation whatever the work condition, low vibrations and reduced power requirements. This means the machine has a longer service life.

The 5 drive belts can be tensioned simply and easily by means of a practical external screw system. All implements are fitted with toothed belts that, unlike plain belts, prove more effective and offer greater performance.

MASCHIO mulchers feature bearings comprising two rows of balls, which provide excellent impact resistance and allow them to withstand heavy workloads. Main advantages: long lifespan (30% longer than traditional bearings), high resistance and load capacity, and low maintenance.

For a finer mulch, the machine comes with a toothed lower counter blade welded to the internal structure.

The shock protection system protects the cutting head when it accidentally hits an obstacle.

The parallelogram frame arm has a new forged joint to deliver greater strength and solidity.
